DesignOps team @ Datadog
Datadog is a monitoring and analytics tool for information technology (IT) and DevOps teams. The DesignOps team maintains DRUIDS (Datadog’s design system) and is a consulting team for design decisions on all product teams. DesignOps worked closely with the Brand team, Marketing team, but ultimately kept knowledge on all product teams.

Component Description Improvements in DRUIDS (design system)
The Problem
Due to several different design teams, varying products, and increasingly scaling up, designers at Datadog were finding it difficult to differentiate between certain components in the Design System, confusion about exact features for components, and manually cross-referencing documentation about components.
My Solution
I, along with my team, improved the design system by conducting an internal audit of components being used by ALL design teams. Retiring and introducing new components as needed as well as providing informative language as needed.
